Team Management Style Introduction Principally settling in life at an early age and drawing a good income is everyone’s goal of life for which attaining a managerial designation and, maintaining it is important to draw a good income for which I have selected ‘Team Management Style’ as my research topic . I hope, I have done a good effort to draw most information and have presented in a precise manner with utmost lucidity and maintaining the information pristinely. Team Management Styles: Analyze Your Style The way you handle your subordinates and peers and a scheduled task assigned to you can be categorized into 4 different styles as described below: 1. Impoverished Management (low concern for the task, low concern†¦show more content†¦(Leadership attitudes) Management (v/s) Leadership: In one of the articles Kent (2005, p1012) succinctly sums up the most commonly made distinctions between management and leadership with clear echoes of Drucker when he states: â€Å"Managers do the things right; leaders do the right things; managing is an authority relationship; leading is an influence relationship; and managing creates stability; leading creates change†. US President Truman famously had a motto on his desk during his period of office, which starkly outlined what makes the difference between a leader and manager: â€Å"The buck stops here†. Clegg et al (2005) expound in their work the interesting view that management, or rather good or successful management, should not be noticed. They consider that â€Å"the clearest sign that a manager is doing an excellent job managing her team; she takes time off work and no one notices she’s gone (Clegg et al,2005,p 233).It would seem that, whereas leadership is a high visibility, high profile role, that of a manager should be like the oil which keeps cogs turning, virtually invisible.
